Turnover drops

Nifty September 2014 futures were at 8072, at a premium of 44.30 points over spot closing of 8027.70. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 122494.72 crore from Rs 409850.99 crore on Thursday, 28 August 2014. The stock market was closed on Friday, 29 August 2014, on account of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Reliance Industries September 2014 futures were at 1024.05, at a premium over spot closing of 1016.40.

State Bank of India September 2014 futures were at 2533.05, at a premium compared to spot closing of 2515.

Tata Steel September 2014 futures were at 527.40, at a premium compared to spot closing of 523.65.

In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty rose 73.35 points or 0.92% to settle at 8,027.70, a record closing high.

The September 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 25 September 2014.
