Jaiprakash Associates announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on 27 September 2014, inter alia, have transacted the following;1. Noted the resignation of V. K. Chopra as an Independent Director of the Company w.e.f. 16 September 2014 due to his ill health.
2. Accepted the resignation of Dr. B. Samal as an Independent Director of the Company w.e.f. 30 September 2014, due to limitation on number of companies of which he is eligible to be appointed as an Independent Director in terms of Clause 49 of the Listing Agreement.
3. Appointed K. P. Rau, SCK Patne and C. P. Jain as Independent Directors with effect from 27 September 2014.
