Consumers in rural areas are joining in large numbers
Over half the country LPG consumers (7.63 Crore) have joined PAHAL, Direct Benefit transfer of LPG (DBTL) scheme or PAHAL (Pratyaksh Hanstantrit Labh). So far Rs 1260 Crore have been transferred. Consumers in rural areas are joining in large numbers.In last one-month more than 40% consumers from Odisha, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, UP, Assam, Meghalaya have joined the scheme showing maximum growth.
Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, J&K, Arunachal Pradesh are close second with growth rate of above 35%.
