Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index rises 4.18%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed up 4.18% at 1370.15 today. The index is down 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Central Bank of India added 20.00%, UCO Bank jumped 20.00% and Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd gained 19.93%. The Nifty PSU Bank index is down 57.00% over last one year compared to the 21.19% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index is down 3.31% and Nifty FMCG index has dropped 2.07% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.05% to close at 9261.85 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.19% to close at 31648 today.
