Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index falls 3.04%, NIFTY Crashes 1.92%

Nifty Realty index closed down 3.04% at 223.45 today. The index has slipped 1.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd dropped 6.06%, Unitech Ltd shed 4.65% and Sobha Ltd slipped 3.98%. The Nifty Realty index has fallen 31.00% over last one year compared to the 2.17% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Energy index has dropped 2.54% and Nifty Private Bank index has dropped 2.27% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 1.92% to close at 10488.45 while the SENSEX has slid 2.00% to close at 34959.72 today.
