Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises

The June 2017 futures on the Nifty 50 index traded at 9382, a premium of 21.45 points over Nifty's spot closing of 9360.55. The May 2017 futures on the Nifty 50 index traded at 9374.65, a premium of 14.10 points over Nifty's spot closing.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 8.86 lakh crore from Rs 7.96 lakh crore registered during previous trading session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 25.60 points or 0.27% to settle at 9,360.55, its lowest closing level since 9 May 2017.

Tata Motors, HDFC Bank, Reliance Capital, State Bank of India (SBI) and Voltas were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Tata Motors May 2017 futures traded at 468.50, at a discount compared with spot closing of 470.50.

HDFC Bank May 2017 futures traded at 1565.75, at a discount compared with spot closing of 1567. Reliance Capital May 2017 futures traded at 577, at a premium over spot closing of 576.

SBI May 2017 futures traded at 283.90, near spot closing of 283.25. Voltas May 2017 futures traded at 448, near spot closing of 447.15.

The May 2017 F&O contracts will expire tomorrow, 25 May 2017. The June 2017 F&O contracts will expire on 29 June 2017.
