Rural Electrification Corporation standalone net profit rises 5.79% in the March 2016 quarter

Sales rise 13.64% to Rs 6015.38 crore

Net profit of Rural Electrification Corporation rose 5.79% to Rs 1160.03 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 1096.50 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015. Sales rose 13.64% to Rs 6015.38 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 5293.26 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015.

For the full year,net profit rose 6.99% to Rs 5627.66 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 5259.87 crore during the previous year ended March 2015. Sales rose 16.93% to Rs 23470.66 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 20072.08 crore during the previous year ended March 2015.
