Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers standalone net profit rises 37.90% in the March 2016 quarter

Sales rise 4.63% to Rs 721.38 crore

Net profit of Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers rose 37.90% to Rs 95.62 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 69.34 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015. Sales rose 4.63% to Rs 721.38 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 689.46 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015.

For the full year,net profit rose 52.29% to Rs 253.92 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 166.73 crore during the previous year ended March 2015. Sales rose 13.08% to Rs 2373.16 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 2098.62 crore during the previous year ended March 2015.
