Tata Power Renewable Energy to acquire Welspun Renewables Energy

Tata Power Company announced that its subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy has signed a Share Purchase Agreement to acquire Welspun Renewables Energy. This represents the largest transaction in renewables space in India.

Welspun Renewables Energy has about 1140 MW of Renewable Power Projects comprising of about 900 MW Solar Power Projects and about 150 MW of Wind Power Projects. Out of the 1140 MW renewable portfolio, nearly 1000 MW of capacity is operational and balance capacity is under advanced stages of implementation.
