Torrent Power consolidated net profit declines 84.71% in the March 2016 quarter

Sales rise 3.90% to Rs 2440.02 crore

Net profit of Torrent Power declined 84.71% to Rs 27.76 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 181.61 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015. Sales rose 3.90% to Rs 2440.02 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 2348.43 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015.

For the full year,net profit rose 140.65% to Rs 865.60 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 359.69 crore during the previous year ended March 2015. Sales rose 12.72% to Rs 11257.54 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 9986.98 crore during the previous year ended March 2015.
