Ultratech Cement rose 0.15% to Rs 3,540 after the company said it partially resumed operations at some of its locations after obtaining necessary permissions.
"Considering the prevailing uncertainties, it is difficult at this point to ascertain the impact arising out of the suspension of operations," the company said in a statement on 19 April 2020.On 23 March 2020, the company had announced suspension of operations at its various locations in light of the COVID - 19 outbreak.
Ultratech Cement's consolidated net profit jumped 88.98% to Rs 711.92 crore on a 0.86% fall in net sales to Rs 10,353.80 crore in Q3 December 2019 over Q3 December 2018.
UltraTech Cement manufactures a range of products that cater to construction needs from foundation to finish, including Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), Portland Blast Furnace Slag Cement (PSC), Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC), white cement including white cement-based products and ready-mix concrete.
