Va Tech Wabag plunges over 28% in eleven sessions

VA Tech fell 13.65% to Rs 200.55, extending recent steep losses.

Shares of VA Tech Wabag have slumped 28.52% in eleven trading session to its current market price of Rs 200.55, from a recent closing high of Rs 280.60 on 26 September 2019.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 250 points or 0.65% to 38464.14.

On the BSE, 92,654 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 6,952 shares in the past two weeks. The stock hit a high of Rs 233.6 and a low of Rs 189 so far during the day.

On a consolidated basis, the company's net profit slumped 79.8% to Rs 2.62 crore on a 33.6% decline in net sales to Rs 456.53 crore in Q1 June 2019 over Q1 June 2018.
