Vinati Organics lost 4.95% to Rs 881.50 at 12:15 IST on BSE after net profit fell 9.45% to Rs 31.73 crore on 12.03% rise in total income to Rs 187.43 crore in Q3 December 2017 over Q3 December 2016.
The result was announced on Saturday, 3 February 2018.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 284.50 points, or 0.81%, to 34,782.25. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index was down 128.04 points, or 0.72%, to 17,719.49.
On BSE, so far 2,878 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 2,881 shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a high of Rs 912.25 and a low of Rs 854 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 1,122 on 8 August 2017. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 700 on 27 March 2017.
The mid-cap company has equity capital of Rs 10.28 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.
Vinati Organics manufactures isobutyl benzene, the prime raw material for the manufacture of ibuprofen, a vital bulk drug.
