Volumes jump at BCB Finance counter

Advanta, Century Plyboards, Videocon Industries, and Godrej Properties are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 3 February 2015.

BCB Finance clocked volume of 29.96 lakh shares by 13:45 IST on BSE, a 187.25-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 16,000 shares. The stock jumped 7.72% at Rs 27.20.

Advanta notched up volume of 1.66 lakh shares, a 14.28-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 12,000 shares. The stock rose 4.88% to Rs 365.10.

Century Plyboards saw volume of 37.04 lakh shares, a 13.87-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.67 lakh shares. The stock dropped 0.76% at Rs 182.85.

Videocon Industries clocked volume of 10.86 lakh shares, a 9.89-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.1 lakh shares. The stock jumped 13.31% at Rs 179.25. The company said during trading hours today, 3 February 2015, its consortium has hit upon oil at a third extension well in the ultra-deepwater Farfan area in Brazil's Sergipe basin.

Godrej Properties saw volume of 85,000 shares, a 9.75-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 9,000 shares. The stock gained 0.6% at Rs 1,080.05.
