Volumes jump at Cupid Trades & Finance counter

GAIL (India), Gitanjali Gems, State Trading Corporation of India and Just Dial are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 23 October 2013.

Cupid Trades & Finance clocked volume of 3.78 lakh shares by 13:46 IST on BSE, a 29.35-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 13,000 shares. The stock was locked at 10% lower circuit at Rs 263.10.

GAIL (India) notched up volume of 6.44 lakh shares, a 11.18-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 58,000 shares. The stock rose 3.21% at Rs 344.

Gitanjali Gem saw volume of 17.57 lakh shares, a 7.29-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.41 lakh shares. The stock surged 14.57% at Rs 62.90.

State Trading Corporation of India (STC) clocked volume of 4.07 lakh shares, a 5.67-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 72,000 shares. The stock surged 8.96% at Rs 158.65.

Just Dial saw volume of 5.26 lakh shares, a 5.64-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 93,000 shares. The stock jumped 16.44% at Rs 1,118.
