Volumes jump at Fulford (India) counter

JK Tyre & Industries, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services, UPL and NTPC are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 18 December 2014.

Fulford (India) clocked volume of 60,339 shares by 12:18 IST on BSE, a 27.33-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 2,000 shares. The stock surged 8.14% at Rs 1,608.

JK Tyre & Industries notched up volume of 11.85 lakh shares, a 6.24-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.90 lakh shares. The stock jumped 10.26% at Rs 130.80. The stock turned 5-for-1 ex-split from today, 18 December 2014. The company has fixed 19 December 2014 as the record date for the purpose of stock split.

Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services saw volume of 17.67 lakh shares, a 5.06-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.49 lakh shares. The stock rose 0.17% at Rs 299.

UPL clocked volume of 8.59 lakh shares, a 4.79-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.80 lakh shares. The stock rose 3.29% at Rs 321.90.

NTPC saw volume of 10.02 lakh shares, a 4.32-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 4.32 lakh shares. The stock advanced 2.19% at Rs 130.85.
