Volumes jump at Marico counter

Marico notched up volume of 5.34 lakh shares by 13:40 IST on BSE, a 70.89-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 8,000 shares. The stock rose 0.46% to Rs 219.50 after a block deal of 2.32 lakh shares was executed on BSE at Rs 219 per share at 9:39 IST. The block deal constitutes 0.03% of Marico's equity.

Emami saw volume of 3.11 lakh shares, a 37.15-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 8,000 shares. The stock lost 1.02% to Rs 587.95.

Rain Commodities clocked volume of 17.57 lakh shares, a 31.65-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 56,000 shares. The stock rose 2.21% to Rs 48.55 after a block deal of 16.52 lakh shares was executed on BSE at Rs 50 per share at 10:43 IST. The block deal constitutes 0.48% of Rain Commodities' equity.

Sterling Holiday Resorts (India) saw volume of 10.91 lakh shares, a 15.58-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 70,000 shares. The stock lost 3.27% to Rs 69.55 after two block deals aggregating 9.81 lakh shares were executed on BSE. A block deal of 5 lakh shares was executed at Rs 69 per share at 9:59 IST. TTK Prestige notched up volume of 40,000 shares, a 13.91-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock rose 2.53% to Rs 3,157.
