Volumes jump at Redington (India) counter

Lovable Lingerie, NCC, IL&FS Transportation Networks, and HCL Infosystems are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 28 January 2015.

Redington (India) clocked volume of 42.29 lakh shares by 13:40 IST on BSE, a 13.94 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.03 lakh shares. The stock tumbled 7.15% at Rs 122.70 on reports that Apple, the maker of iphones and ipads, is roping in global retail major Brightstar to sell its devices in India. Apple accounts for nearly 70% of Redington's sales, 12% and 28% of Redington's consolidated and India revenue, respectively, report added.

Lovable Lingerie notched up volume of 3.43 lakh shares, a 12.92-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 27,000 shares. The stock rose 3.03% at Rs 407.70.

NCC saw volume of 77.29 lakh shares, a 12.23-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 6.32 lakh shares. The stock jumped 5.13% at Rs 75.80.

IL&FS Transportation Networks clocked volume of 7.60 lakh shares, a 10.86-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 70,000 shares. The stock rose 1.33% at Rs 205.10.

HCL Infosystems saw volume of 26.81 lakh shares, a 5.52-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 4.85 lakh shares. The stock spurted 16.07% at Rs 49.85.
