Vardhman Textiles clocked volume of 1.24 lakh shares by 13:21 IST on BSE, a 78.71-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 2,000 shares. The stock rose 2.77% at Rs 895.
EPC Industrie notched up volume of 3.64 lakh shares, a 11.68-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 31,000 shares. The stock surged 8.12% at Rs 150.50.
Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services saw volume of 20.01 lakh shares, a 6.06-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.30 lakh shares. The stock was down 2.2% at Rs 299.90.
Kansai Nerolac Paints clocked volume of 2.62 lakh shares, a 5.31-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 49,000 shares. The stock fell 0.08% at Rs 295.90. The company's net profit jumped 920% to Rs 615.77 crore on 10.3% growth in net sales to Rs 888.20 crore in Q4 March 2016 over Q4 March 2015. On 30 March 2016, the company had sold its Perungudi fixed assets for a consideration of Rs 537.86 crore. The profit of Rs 535.34 crore is disclosed as an exceptional item in Q4 March 2016. The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 27 April 2016.
GMR Infrastructure saw volume of 46.01 lakh shares, a 4.89-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 9.41 lakh shares. The stock fell 1.29% at Rs 12.23.
