Volumes jump Sundaram Clayton counter

L&T Technology Services, Nitco, Nucleus Software Exports and Rane (Madras) are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 24 January 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 45.45 points, or 0.13% to 36,185.43.

Sundaram Clayton clocked volume of 85,000 shares by 14:00 IST on BSE, a 552.88-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 351 shares. The stock dropped 0.81% to Rs 4,935.05.

L&T Technology Services notched up volume of 2.12 lakh shares, a 46.93-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 5,000 shares. The stock jumped 19.71% to Rs 1,213.60 after consolidated net profit rose 2.84% to Rs 126.50 crore on 7.6% growth in net sales to Rs 969.10 crore in Q3 December 2017 over Q2 September 2017. The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 23 January 2018.

Nitco saw volume of 10.94 lakh shares, a 19.9-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 55,000 shares. The stock was locked at a 20% upper circuit at Rs 135.

Nucleus Software Exports clocked volume of 1.71 lakh shares, a 14.45-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 12,000 shares. The stock was locked at 10% upper circuit at Rs 530.25.

Rane (Madras) saw volume of 60,000 shares, a 12.25-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 5,000 shares. The stock rose 4.93% to Rs 906.
