One person was killed when a public bus overturned on the National Highway 116B in West Bengal's East Midnapore district on Thursday, the police said.
"The bus overturned near Karan crossing after hitting an electric post. Debabarta Sahu, 48, was crushed under the bus while waiting on the road. A 19-year-old female passenger was injured but others are fine," a police official said.
Investigations are on to ascertain the cause of the accident, he said.
