Ten rear coaches of the Duronto Express going from Mumbai to Kerala derailed inside a tunnel in Goa on Sunday morning, an official said. No casualties were reported.
The accident occurred around 7.15 a.m. near Balli railway station, about 45 km south of here, as the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Ernakulam Duronto was passing through the tunnel.
A medical van and relief train have reached the site, said Konkan Railway officer Baban Ghatge.
Konkan Railway said trains running on the route would be diverted or cancelled.
