10 killed in Iraq suicide bomb attack

Ten people were killed and two wounded in a suicide truck bomb attack in Salahudin province of Iraq Wednesday.

The attack occurred in the morning when the suicide bomber blew up his explosives-laden truck at a police checkpoint at the entrance to the town of al-Alam, just east of the provincial capital city of Tirkit, some 170 km north of Iraq's capital Baghdad, a provincial police source told Xinhua.

Two policemen were among the dead, the source added.
