Eleven people, mostly women, were killed Tuesday evening when their vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near this Himachal Pradesh picturesque resort, police said.
The victims were travelling in a commercial multi-utility vehicle when the accident occurred near Naushala, some 12 km from here, investigating officer Neel Chand Sharma told IANS.
He said most of the victims, who were locals, died on the spot.
The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained, he added.
