11 held in Gurugram for IPL betting

Eleven persons were arrested on Saturday on charges of betting on an Indian Premier League (IPL) match and over Rs 50,000 was seized from them, police said.

The arrests were made during a raid at a house near Sohna town near here while the IPL match between Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Rider was on, a police officer said.

One of the men fled the spot while others were arrested.

Eleven mobile phones and a LED screen were also seized.

Those arrested were identified as Rahul, Arshad, Maqsood, Ishrar, Abdul, Aasmohammad, Javed, Irshad, Zafrudeen, Salmuddin and Saleem.
