At least 11 people were killed and dozens others reported missing after a boat sank in Indonesia, an official said Wednesday.
KM Motor Jabal Nur boat with 49 people on board sank off East Java Province, Xinhua reported citing head of search and rescue office of East Java province, Moch Hernanto.
The victims were heading to Pemuteran in Singaraja, Bali province, to attend a wedding ceremony.
The accident occurred after the boat's propeller broke and stopped it from moving, said Hernanto.
"Six people have been rescued, search operation is still under way," Moch said.
The number of people on board could be more than the report, as many passengers routinely do not report themselves during boat journeys in Indonesia.
