11 killed in Syria mortar attack

At least 11 people were killed Monday in a mortar attack which struck Syria's Aleppo city.

The attack targeted the al-Jamilieh neighbourhood, Xinhua reported. Around 20 people were wounded in the attack.

The attack occurred as the clashes between the Syrian troops and the rebels intensified recently, especially in Aleppo.
