At least 11 policemen were killed Thursday and more than 40 injured in an explosion targeting a police bus in Karachi city.
The attack took place in Razzakabad area near the Police Training Centre, Geo News reported.
Senior Superintendent of Police Malir Rao Anwaar said the evidences indicate that a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the police bus carrying more than 50 personnel, who were on their way to discharge their duties.
However, police are investigating the matter to ascertain the facts.
The bodies and those injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital where hospital sources said six policemen were in critical condition.
