Thirteen persons were arrested for involvement in betting on an Indian Premier League match and Rs 44,000 seized from them, police said on Wednesday.
The accused had bet on April 22 on the outcome of a match between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Accused Gulshan Walia, 28, Nipun Verma, 32, and Anil Oberoi, 54, and seven others were arrested during a raid at Bhikam Singh Colony in the Shahdara area, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nupur Prasad said.
Another accused Afsar, 44, told police that he used to take inputs on gambling rates from Gulshan, who was operating from the Subhash Park area.
As many as 28 mobile phones and 20 mobile chargers and other gadgets were siezed from the accused, the official said.
