A 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death by two unidentified people here, police said Saturday.
Idu, a resident of Bihar, was attacked around 12.30 a.m. Saturday by the accused after he had a heated argument with them over some issue in Sadar Bazar area of north Delhi.
"Idu's throat was slashed with a sharp edged weapon. We are yet to ascertain the reason behind the murder," said Deputy Commissioner of Police Madhur Verma.
A case of murder has been registered against the two accused, who are absconding.
Idu lived in Sadar Bazar area with his uncle's cousin.
The victim's kin informed the police that he had gone to fetch water from a nearby community tap.
"We are probing all possible angles - if the accused had any personal enmity with the victim or the attack was just a sudden provocation," said the official.
