Madrid, Sep 21 (IANS/EFE) Nearly two dozen passengers sustained injuries Friday when a commuter train rammed into another one from behind in the Spanish city of Barcelona.
According to a spokesperson for Spanish state railway, the accident occurred in the morning when a commuter train hit another train from behind at a station in this Spanish metropolis. However, only 10 required medical treatment.
Most of the 22 injured suffered whiplash and bruises, emergency management officials said.
At 10.05 a.m., one of the commuter trains covering the Calella-L-Hospitalet route collided into a Terrassa-Martorell train at the Barcelona Sants station for unknown reasons, the official added.
