Belarus has seized over 27 kg of heroin, having an estimated value of over $3 million in the black market, and detained three people in this connection.
According to the country's State Security Committee, the drugs were destined for western Europe.
The three, believed to belong to an international criminal group, were caught placing drugs in a cache along the Mogilyov- Mstislavl highway, reporetd Xinhua citing spokesperson Artur Strekh.
A criminal case has been filed against the detainees who are from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, which could result in posible maximum sentence of up to 13 years.
