At least three people were killed and 25 others injured when a blast hit a restaurant in Pakistan's central Multan district on Monday, the media reported.
Confirming the death toll, city police officer Muneer Masood said the nature of the blast was not known yet and a bomb disposal unit and other teams had been called in at the site, reports Xinhua news agency.
The blast razed the restaurant's roof to the ground, trapping many people including women and children. The injured were shifted to a hospital where at least five were said to be in critical condition.
Earlier, some media reports blamed the incident on a gas cylinder which exploded.
