Overwhelmed with 'Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan' response: Meet Brothers (With Image)

New Delhi, Feb 13 (IANS) Soaring high with the success of "Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan", composers Manmeet and Harpeet Gulzar of Meet Brothers Anjjan from upcoming movie "Roy" say they are overwhelmed with the response.

"The fame is a blessing from our parents. We are extremely overwhelmed that people are grooving to this beat," Harmeet told IANS at an event at the chew Pan Asian Cafe here to promote "Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan".

Composed by Meet Brothers Anjjan and sung by Kanika Kapoor, the song has been topping the music charts for several weeks.

"We have been very passionate about music. We used to compose for ourselves. We started off with composing jingles at a radio station. Our talent and hard work got noticed and we started composing music in Bollywood", added the duo who had given many hit tracks last year like "Hangover" from "Kick", "Pink Lips" from "Hate Story-2" and "Party toh banti hai" from "Bhootnath Returns", among others.

Meet Brothers Anjjan created a sensation last year with "Baby Doll" for "Ragini MMS2" movie which marked the Bollywood debut of Kanika Kapoor.

"Kanika is like our younger sister. We introduced her to Bollywood. She has a very prominent voice, very different from others," Manmeet told IANS.

Kanika recently bagged several citations, including the Filmfare, Stardust and Screen awards as the best singer for "Baby Doll".

"Kanika made us proud and we are happy for her success. We made her a star, we are not hungry for limelight", replied Manmeet.

The composers also spoke fondly of Salman Khan who sang their "Hangover" in "Kick".

"Salman dubbed thrice for the song. He is very hardworking and passionate. We had learned a lot from him. It is always a pleasure working with him and would like to again compose for Salman in the future" Manmeet said when asked about actors they looked forward to working with.

The Meet Brothers also spoke on the recent controversy revolving around the AIB video. "It is your choice what to see and what not to. People are

judgmental. I am no one to say whether it was good or bad. It is an individual's perception," Manmeet said.

The duo also enjoys working with Mohit Chauhan and Khusboo Grewal have many Bollywood movies lined up for release like "Mastizaade" and "Ek Paheli Leela". Their album is set to be released in August.
