5.5-magnitude quake jolts Japan

A 5.5 magnitude earthquake jolted Japan's Aomori prefecture on Monday.
According to Japan's Meteorological Agency, the temblor was registered at level 4 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7, Xinhua new agency reported.
The epicentre was located at 41.5 degrees north latitude and 142.0 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 70 km.
There were no immediate reports of damage and injuries.
