Nearly 60 intrepid national and international bikers will participate in the third edition of the three-day MTB Himalaya Shimla cycling race next month.
The rally will flag off from here April 11 and zoom through the hills of Shimla and Solan district, concluding back in the state capital.
Riders from Britain, the United Arab Emirates, Scotland and hosts India will participate in the event, Himalayan Adventure Sports and Tourism Promotion Association (HASTPA) president Mohit Sood told IANS, adding that the aim of the event is to promote mountain biking.
The participants will cover around 115 km in two days. The riders will pass through off-road tracks, mud, streams, tarmac and single tracks.
The HASTPA also organises the annual MTB Himalaya which will be in its 10th edition from Sep 27 to Oct 3.
