Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said that his government will double the reservation for the patients of the capital in the Delhi State Cancer Institute in Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital.
Taking to Twitter, Kejriwal announced that "80 per cent facilities will be reserved for Delhi patients instead of the previous 40 per cent reservation".
Kejriwal made the announcement after visiting the hospital to inaugurate a new private ward in Delhi State Cancer Institute along with Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam and Health Minister Satyendar Jain.
He further said: "6.5 acres more space will be allotted" to the hospital.
Kejriwal also ensured that the proposals for additional equipment, which have been pending with the Delhi government, will be cleared in 10 days.
