Ram Sundar Das, the 93-year-old incumbent Lok Sabha member from Bihar's ruling JD-U, Wednesday filed his nomination papers from Hajipur constituency.

Das, who is not able to move freely due to old age, will face Lok Janshakti Party chief Ram Vilas Paswan.

Das, a former chief minister, is known to be an honest politician. He is the oldest Lok Sabha member at present.

After filing his papers, Das said people will support and vote for him.

"I have witnessed many decades of politics and up and downs, and I an confident that people will support me," said Das, dressed in a cotton dhoti and kurta and wearing a Gandhi cap.
