AAP legislator Rajesh Garg and two party supporters were arrested here on a complaint by a woman government official for allegedly entering her office and threatening her, police said Sunday. Garg later got bail from a city court.
The Aam Aadmi Party legislator, in his 50s, from Rohini in north Delhi, was arrested Saturday night after the deputy director of the education department filed a complaint against him at Prashant Vihar police station for threatening her and using derogatory language after barging into her office.
Garg and his supporters were staging a protest outside the office of the deputy director for the last four days against hike in school fees, school uniform rates and exercise books.
Police said Garg and his supporters were presented before a court Sunday and they got bail on furnishing personal bonds.
