Seven-time European football champions AC Milan on Monday announced the signing of young Portuguese striker Andre Silva from Porto on a five-season contract for a reported transfer fee of around $40 million.
The 21-year-old passed his medical examinations on Monday before penning the contract that will run till June 30, 2022.
He is fourth signing of the summer for AC Milan which earlier roped in left-back Ricardo Rodríguez (from VfL Wolfsburg), midfielder Franck Kessie (on loan from Atalanta) and defender Mateo Musacchio (from Villarreal).
Silva enjoyed a breakthrough 2016-17 campaign, scoring 21 goals in 44 appearances for Porto. He has scored seven times in just eight caps for Portugal.
