AQ 25-year-old man died here on Wednesday after being shot at accidentally by his colleague, police said.
Kailash, 24, and his friend Ram Dayal, both servants at a banquet hall in Gujranwala Hall in Model Town area of north-west Delhi, took a gun from guard Jitender and were playfully poking it at each other when a shot was accidentally fired around 3 a.m., killing Kailash.
The owner of the banquet hall told police that Jitender, a resident of Etah district of Uttar Pradesh, was appointed as a guard there.
Police said Jitender informed the head of the security arrangements there about the accidental firing and then fled from the spot.
Police have obtained CCTV footage of the banquet hall and have begun investigations.
