Singer Adele's estranged father Mark Evans, who is suffering from cancer, wants to meet grandson Angelo.

Evans left Adele's mother Penny when the singer was three and now fears that he might die soon and never get a chance to see 10-month-old Angelo.

"I was not there for my daughter when I should have been. I have regretted that every second of every day. It tears me up inside," thesun.co.uk quoted Evans as saying.

"I still haven't met Angelo and I'm facing the fact I may never do. It could be over for me before I get to make my peace with Adele," he added.

Angelo is Adele's son with boyfriend Simon Konecki.
