A private tutor was on Tuesday arrested on charges of sexually exploiting a high school student who was forced into having sex with the tutor's sisters and then blackmailed.
The victim, the son of a jeweller, continued to respond to demands for liquor, cash, mobile phones and jewellery after being filmed having sex with the two sisters who are absconding, police said.
When he could no longer bear the stress, he opened up to his grandmother. The police then intervened.
Police said the tutor and his sisters got him addicted to drugs and liquor before sex was introduced into the relationship. This was covertly filmed and then the blackmailing began.
The tutor has denied the allegations and told the police that the student was weak and so scolded. "Now he has concocted all sorts of stories."
