Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on Saturday immersed the ashes of her late father here.
Accompanied by her mother Vrinda Rai, husband Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aradhya, they drove straight to the Sangam soon after arrival.
He father Krishna Raj Rai had passed away on March 18 after a prolonged battle with cancer.
The ashes were immersed almost after four months. Local priests performed the rituals for the family, which later left in a a fleet of cars for Varanasi, where the remaining ashes would be immersed in the Ganges river.
