Ajax kept their European dreams alive by defeating Celtic 1-0 here after grabbing their first victory this season in the Champions League.
Ajax secured the win in Group H Wednesday since they beat Manchester City 3-1 at home in October 2012, reports Xinhua.
After Celtic beat Ajax 2-1 in Glasgow two weeks ago, the pressure was on the home team, which was last in the group.
Also in Group H, leaders FC Barcelona beat AC Milan 3-1 to qualify for the knock-out phase.
With two rounds remaining, Milan are second with five points, Ajax are third with four and Celtic are at the bottom with three points.
The top two will qualify for the next round of the Champions League while the third team will continue in the Europa League.
Ajax play Barcelona Nov 26. The same day Celtic will host AC Milan.
