Scottish football giants Celtic have signed Dutch winger Derk Boerrigter from Ajax.
The 26-year-old Boerrigter, who scored five league goals for Dutch champions Ajax last season, Tuesday inked a four-year contract with Celtic, reports Xinhua.
"He is the type of player we have been looking for," said Neil Lennon, manager of Celtic.
"He is a very fast, direct, left-footed player who has goals in him with his left and right foot. He is also very powerful. He has good experience and he has played at a high level for the last two or three years."
The 1.94-metre Boerrigter started his professional career in Ajax but failed to make his first team debut before being loaned to Haarlem. He had also played for Dutch sides Zwolle and Waalwijk before rejoining Ajax in 2011.
