Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Friday asked Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu for early completion of under-construction of railway overbridges at some places to benefit the state's people.
In a letter to Prabhu, he has referred to his earlier letter dated May 11, 2015 in which he had pointed out that the progress of rail overbridges spanning lines of the Northern Railways, North-Central Railways and North-Eastern Railways in 2015-16 was very tardy and at many places, even the high tension lines had not been shifted.
He detailed many such lines where work on the RoBs was not satisfactory.
Akhilesh Yadav also sought an early issuance of a no-objection certificate for the under-construction 8-lane RoB on the Tundla-Agra Cantt section connecting inner ring road and the Yamuna Expressway on railway land.
