Italian Football Association (FIGC) vice president Demetrio Albertini has voiced his support to Rome's bid for Euro 2020.
"Our footballing history will count," he said. "Rome is the most beautiful city in the world. I don't think there can be a European championship without Rome and without Italy."
Albertini said Rome is well-equipped to hold the Euro 2020 matches, reported Xinhua.
"I have led a working group within the FIGC (Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio), composed of people with great skills. We have worked in synchrony with Rome and also alongside Milan, which has put itself forward as a candidate for the Champions League final in 2016," he said.
"We have satisfied all of the requirements made by UEFA and we have the support of the government," he added.
