Miami, April 17 (IANS/EFE) Singer-songwriter Alejandro Sanz will be joined by Cuban trumpet and piano player Arturo Sandoval at his May 1 concert in the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, the Spanish artist announced via Twitter.
"Good morning, today I have a surprise... The great Arturo Sandoval will accompany me at the Los Angeles concert on May 1! I really want to share the stage with him. Who's coming?" Sanz tweeted.
The iconic Cuban musician has won nine Grammy Awards and an Emmy, and the public in Los Angeles will have the chance to see two multi-prizewinning musicians sharing the same stage.
The Los Angeles concert is part of Sanz's "La Musica No Se Toca" tour, on which he has already visited Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Brazil.
Sanz will follow the L.A. concert with shows in Washington, Miami and San Juan.
In a recent interview with EFE, the Spanish artist said that the concerts on this tour are a "surprise" and represent a "trip that's worth it".
Sanz's publicists announced Tuesday that he now has over nine million followers on Twitter, making him one of the most heavily followed Latino performers on that social network.
