Members of the European Parliament (EP) said in a resolution on Syria voted Thursday that alleviating the suffering of civilians must be a priority in addressing Syria issue.

It added that facilitating humanitarian access to civilians in need should also help to build confidence among the warring parties, as should local ceasefires.
